Become Involved
There are many ways to become involved with the Ohio Council Economic Education:
Contributions
“If you believe in something, you support it. If you support something, the time comes when good wishes and cordial words are not enough and your hand reaches for your pocketbook. Then the fun begins. For giving is fun. If you refuse to give, your support is wavering; and if your support is wavering, it can’t be that you believe in that something in any strong way. Maybe our account books, after all, offer the honest list of those things in which we really believe.”
- Kenneth Irving Brown
The OCEE is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, largely supported through public and private grants and by contributions from Ohio corporations and citizens. We welcome any and all donations. Making a contribution is easy:
- Check
- Please make your check payable to “OCEE”
- Please include your current e-mail address on the “memo” line (optional).
- Mail your donation to: OCEE – 1900 Polaris Parkway Suite 450, Columbus, OH 43240
- In-Kind
- The Ohio Council on Economic Education is pleased to accept in-kind donations of meeting and event space, and sponsorship of programs and events (awards, prizes, meals). For more information, please call 614-410-3356 and ask to speak with Dr. Len Simutis.
- Matching Contributions
- The Ohio Council on Economic Education knows that many employers will match their employee’s contributions to non-profit organizations. If this is an option you wish to pursue, please check with your employer and call 614-410-3356 to speak with Dr. Len Simutis. We are happy to provide you and your employer whatever additional information may be necessary to complete this process.
- Sponsorships
- We award prizes to students competing in our High School Economics Challenge, which takes place in February of each year. If you or your organization would care to sponsor either cash prizes or sponsored items for distribution to participants, we would be pleased to hear from you. You may also wish to sponsor the registration fee for a team from your local school. For more information on the Economics Challenge, please visit our Events page. To sponsor prizes or a team, please contact Dr. Len Simutis at 614-410-3356.
